KBA prepared the master plan for this unique village cluster concept located near Tuscon. The 18-hole championship golf course required highly sensitive placement due to significant terrain changes and accompanying flash flood concerns. The master plan responded by creating a series of villages located in nodes, with different product types including hotels, villas, single-family, bed and breakfasts and lodges. Land not suitable for championship length golf were planned to include a 'short course' consisting of 18 par-3 holes with variable distances and shot angles. There will be no automobile traffic within the resort; cars are parked in a visually buffered area where residents and guests are transported via shuttle service.
